Hearty Halibut Chowder
I got this recipe when I lived in Anchorage, Alaska. Its made from Alaskan halibut. The shredded carrots and Cheddar cheese in this chowder make it distinctive.

Easily adaptable into a Monte Cristo by just adding chicken, this wonderful battered then fried sandwich makes a great lunch with a tossed salad.
